Master Your Movement MOVE AS ONE
Better Balance. Smoother Movement.
What if better movement begins before you even move?
In this 90-minute experiential workshop, you'll learn how to move with greater coordination, balance, body awareness, stability, and ease by connecting what you intend to do with how your body responds.
Through accessible Tai Chi, Qigong, balance, and mindful movement practices, we'll explore how the feet, hips, spine, shoulders, arms, and hands can work together rather than as separate parts. You'll experience what changes when you pause, feel your foundation, set your intention, and then allow movement to travel through the entire body.
You'll explore:
- How focused attention can change the quality of movement
- How to let the feet and hips help initiate whole-body movement
- Simple ways to coordinate the upper and lower body
- The difference between genuine relaxation and collapsing
- How to maintain stability while moving and responding to change
- How intention can support smoother, more deliberate walking, reaching, shifting, and stepping
- Familiar Tai Chi and Qigong movements practiced with a new focus on whole-body connection
The goal isn't to memorize more exercises. It's to discover what it feels like when your mind and body are working together, and your body begins to move as one.
You'll leave with a simple practice you can use in everyday life:
Feel your feet. Decide to move. Then move.
This is for you if you're interested in improving balance, maintaining mobility, building confidence, supporting healthy aging, or simply moving with greater awareness.
No previous Tai Chi or Qigong experience is necessary. While Foundations I and II provide helpful background, the practices are taught in an accessible, approachable way so you can explore them at your own level.
