15th Annual Yoga for a Cause Gentle Yoga for St Luke's Food Pantry

Gentle Stretch includes basic poses at a slower pace with support and modifications.   This class will focus on proper body alignment, breathing, and meditation techniques.   For new & continuing students, some hands and knees, less "up and down" than Yoga Level 1.

For beginners, intermediate to advanced this class offers options for participants to work at their own level.    Modifications and variations will be introduced so that all participants can receive the benefits of this dynamic practice.  A blend of Level 1 & Level 1-2.  

Absolutely NO yoga or meditation experience is needed.

As the pace of life seems to increase exponentially, the timeless practice of Gentle Yoga and Yoga Nidra can help participants rest, relax, and renew.  This class focuses on gentle warm-ups, stretches, and restorative postures followed by a guided Yoga Nidra (yogic sleep) meditation.  This class is ideal for individuals with range of motion or mobility limitations or for those looking to recover from stress and renew the nervous system.

We are proud to offer another year of Yoga for a Cause!  This class will focus on leading students through light, flowing movements while allowing time to expand, hold and enjoy each pose.  In this class, you will strongly engage your muscles and build body strength in a gentle way to encourage the bones to improve their density. This class is suitable for all levels to build strength and balance.  Options for poses will be provided. Props are available as needed.

This all-levels, gentle class will take you through a traditional yoga class utilizing a chair as the main prop.  In keeping with yoga as a prescription for wellness, this class is perfect for anyone working with physical challenges or trouble kneeling and/or getting up and down from the floor or looking to improve for functional movement for daily living.

News Year's Day Yoga & Burning Bowl 2023

Start 2023 with clear vision!!!  New Year’s Day sets the tone for the year to come why not start the year off with a little Yoga self-care and Burning Bowl Ceremony?

Join Kim for this slow-flow yoga practice and set intentions for each season of 2023, open to new beginnings. 

Followed by a guided meditation for our annual Burnin Bowl Ceremony.  

Out with the old and in with the New Year!   Mark the start of the New Year by clearing the past and creating space for your highest intentions.  Drop any old habits, blockages or negative thought patterns into a traditional Burning Bowl.  Remove obstacles.  Release limitations.  Make peace with the past.  Add momentum to your intentions with an affirmation card, crystals, and a mudra to connect to the elements, and take home energetic tools that will support your journey throughout the whole year.   Receive a hands-on boost of Reiki energy as you experience the peaceful power of group meditation.   This traditional Japanese empowerment, or Reiju, is for protection, grounding, and well-being throughout the New Year.  Claim the power to manifest your best self for the year ahead.
