Embark on a journey to a galaxy far, far away in a special 'May The 4th Be With You' yoga class with YTT student Julianne Serpa!  If you’re on a quest to find balance and harmony in mind, body, and spirit (and have fun while doing it!) you don’t want to miss this...

Inspired by the timeless saga of Star Wars, this class will explore the interplay between the light and the dark as we flow through a meditative posture sequence designed to awaken the life force within. Embrace your inner Jedi (or Sith!) while cultivating curiosity, courage, and strength on your mat. The class will end with an extended savasana to let the dark forces of stress and tension melt away, leaving you feeling renewed and shining as bright as a lightsaber!

This class is geared toward any yogi who is curious about deepening their practice. You should have at minimum a basic understanding of pranayama and asana and the ability to keep yourself safe and modify the practice as needed for your body.

Whether you're a lifelong Star Wars fan or simply seeking to strengthen your connection with the Force within, come join us as we harness the energy of the universe together!! May the Force be with you, always.

If you are inviting a guest, you must fill out the name and email address under the "Who will attend?" section of the checkout to guarantee them a space in the workshop.

Julianne Serpa

Julianne recognized from an early age that her passions are gifts meant to be shared with people – as a pianist, an equestrian, and now a yogi. Julianne always envisioned herself teaching yoga someday, perhaps in retirement when she would be older and wiser! However, the events of 2020 catalyzed a profound shift in perspective and sense of urgency. With this newfound clarity, she recognized that it was time to begin. With a background in psychology and a career dedicated to service, Julianne approaches her teaching with empathy and a unique understanding of disability and resilience. Her focus has always been on empowering others, recognizing that she is just a facilitator humbled to witness another’s journey of growth and self-discovery.

She took her first yoga class in high school and was immediately hooked after experiencing savasana! Her practice has deepened and evolved over the course of nearly two decades, particularly during times of personal hardship. Julianne’s commitment to honoring the ancient roots of yoga while simultaneously “living as a normal person in suburbia” led her to select the Pranakriya School of Yoga and Healing Arts to begin teacher training in 2023, enriching her practice and guiding her approach to sharing yoga.

Julianne embodies a philosophy of "Choose Your Own Adventure," both on the mat and in life, and endeavors to impart this spirit to her students. Committed to fostering compassionate spaces free from judgment and dogma, Julianne gives students permission to explore their unique experience of yoga and receive their discoveries with curiosity and grace.
