Missy, RYT-500, first began teaching yoga to children and then quickly wanted to share the benefits and calming effects of it to adults as well. This inspired her to complete the Avalon 200 Hour Teacher Training in 2011 and the 300-hour Pranakriya School of Yoga Healing Arts training in 2021. She also trained through Radiant Child to teach yoga to children and is working toward completing the Pranakriya Kid’s Yoga training. Missy completed the RYCT designation. In 2017, she trained with Dr. Fishman and Ellen Saltsonstall and received a certificate to teach Yoga for Osteoporosis. Missy is an Accessible Yoga Ambassador and welcomes everyone into her classes. She brings a nurturing style to her classes and builds a safe environment for all students to grow in their practices and receive the many benefits of yoga. She enjoys working with students of all ages!

I have been an early childhood educator for the last 19
years. Seeing the benefits of yoga for myself, started me on a journey to bring
yoga to the classroom. Over the years, I’ve attended trainings through Yoga
Kids and Radiant Child Yoga. I’ve taught children’s yoga classes and family
yoga classes at several yoga studios in the Baltimore area. As well, as
co-creating an after-school Yoga Club at the elementary school where I teach
kindergarten. Through yoga and art, children are not
only better able to relax and listen to their inner voice, but also able to
focus and think more clearly when making life’s many choices. I believe in
educating the whole child and promoting peace for the future generations to
come.
