$35.00 Meditative Posture Flow: A Pranakriya Master Class

Some yoga classes ask you to move. This one invites you to arrive.

Meditative Posture Flow is the signature class form of the Pranakriya lineage, a practice rooted in the teachings of Swami Kripalu and designed to draw the practitioner deeply inward. Balancing strengthening and stretching, this class weaves pranayama, warm-ups, and kriyas into a flowing sequence of postures held with intention and depth. Long holding times, conscious breathing, and an unhurried pace create the conditions for genuine internal exploration.

This is a class where you listen to your breath, to your body, to what arises when you stop rushing through the postures and begin to truly inhabit them. Emily holds the nurturing, coaching presence that is the hallmark of Pranakriya teaching, guiding you to go deeper when your body opens and to honor your edges when it speaks.

This Master Class is appropriate for experienced students who are comfortable with foundational postures and ready to practice with eyes closed and attention turned inward.

If you are inviting a guest, you must fill out the name and email address under the "Who will attend?" section of the checkout to guarantee them a space in the workshop.

Emily Gretz

Emily Gretz, E-RYT500, RCYT, YACEP brings a career in education and an entrepreneurial spirit to her role as yoga teacher. For over ten years Emily has been sharing her love of yoga with children and adults. Equally skilled at leading adults and children in yoga practice, Emily is passionate about yoga’s benefits and is anxious to share them with people of all ages and skills levels.

As a mother of two girls, Emily believes introducing yoga to children can help provide them with tools for coping with life’s stresses. At a very young age, children can learn to use their breath to calm their body and mind while learning how to develop muscles and balance through physical postures. Emily has collaborated with Steve Wolf on Yoga Nidra for Children (see “classes/schedule”-“kids yoga”), a CD compilation of engaging yoga nidra-based stories designed to help children deeply relax their mind and body.  She is co-director of the Pranakriya School of Yoga Healing Arts’ Musculoskeletal Assessment Program, Director of the PKSYHA 95hr Children’s Yoga Training and holds both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Loyola University Maryland and is an active member of her local community.
