$20.00 16th Annual Yoga for a Cause Lighthouse Homeless Shelter

For the past 16 years, Crofton Yoga’s teachers have offered their time to teach for a cause that is near and dear to their hearts. Last year, over $1000 was raised for the selected charities. We are proud to offer another year of Yoga for a Cause!

Join us for a bhakti yoga kirtan practice. Bhakti means devotional love. It is a practice of the heart that brings us in tune with the most awake version of ourselves. We will explore using mantras/chanting, along with breathing, gentle movement, and meditation to help set your own intentions and support you in your self-care journey. Some of the benefits you may experience through this practice include: calming your mind; reducing stress and anxiety; opening your heart; and feeling more present and alive in your day-to-day life.

Absolutely NO yoga or meditation experience is needed.

If you are inviting a guest, you must fill out the name and email address under the "Who will attend?" section of the checkout to guarantee them a space in the workshop.

Audrey Rhoads

Audrey started practicing yoga in 2001 while she was studying at the University of Florida. Yoga has transformed her life in so many ways. Over the years, it has helped her become healthier - physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Audrey enjoys sharing her love of yoga with students by exploring movement, breathwork, and chanting as ways to reduce stress and bring more ease into daily living. She completed her first 200-hour certification in 2012 through Sanctuary Yoga in Gainesville, Florida, with a focus on hatha, restorative, and yin yoga. In 2018, she earned a 100-hour certification in yoga nidra. In 2020, she moved to Maryland and completed her 200-hour certification with Pranakriya School of Yoga Healing Arts. "I love how Pranakriya integrates pranayama and meditation into the yoga class experience. It teaches you to be present so that you can enjoy your life more fully while mindfully navigating through life's challenges."
