This class is rooted in the traditional Pilates methods that build core strength for enhanced posture and alignment. Using these fundamentals, we will explore Pilates mat sequences combined with Barre exercises building strength and flexibility. While low impact, your muscles will stay engaged from start to finish for a full-body workout! This class is great for all and very beneficial to athletes and dancers.



Laura Seal

Laura Seal is a professional figure skater and Pilates instructor. Currently a Principal Performer with Disney on Ice, she continues teaching Pilates and skating when home. Laura was certified in Pilates in 2015 and has taught to all age groups and abilities, with much experience using Pilates to aid her figure skating students. She holds a BS in Kinesiology from the University of Maryland and a Master of Public Health from George Washington University. 


After suffering a back injury as a competitive figure skater as a teenager, Laura used Pilates as a Primary rehabilitation technique to strengthen the core muscles supporting the back and has been a huge advocate for its benefits ever since!
