A Rare Opportunity to Practice with Yoganand ~This
event will feature a live, online class led by Yoganand Michael Carroll,
founder of Pranakriya Yoga, he will be streaming in from Panama.
Yoganand is a Master-Level teacher in the Kripalu Yoga
tradition and the Founder, Dean of Curriculum, and Professor Emeritus of
the Pranakriya School of Yoga Healing Arts. After more than 15 years teaching
at the Kripalu Center, he founded Pranakriya Yoga in 2005—offering a modern,
accessible expression of traditional Tantric Hatha Yoga rooted in the
teachings of Swami Kripalvanandaji.
Now retired, Yoganand rarely offers public classes, making
this a special opportunity to learn directly from the source of the practice.
Students often find that his teaching reflects decades of
experience, with a unique ability to translate traditional yoga teachings into
practices that support vitality, clarity, and real-life application.
The class will follow the Pranakriya approach—blending
breath, movement, and awareness in a way that is both accessible and deeply
rooted in tradition.
This is more than just a class. It’s an opportunity to
practice in your local space… while being part of something much bigger. On
June 20th, studios across the country—and beyond—will gather at the same time.
We’ll begin together…practice together…and close in community.
This is an all-levels yoga practice, appropriate for:
- Beginners
and experienced students
- Those
seeking stress relief, mobility, and mindful movement
- Anyone
curious about Kripalu-based yoga and Pranakriya methodology
- Those
seeking a yoga community and connection
Spots are limited. Pre-registration is recommended.
100% of all donations (after credit card processing fees)
will be donated to the Pranakriya School of Yoga Healing Arts.
If you are inviting a guest, you must fill out the name and email address under the "Who will attend?" section of the checkout to guarantee them a space in the workshop
Yoganand Michael Carroll
Yoganand founded Pranakriya Yoga in 2005. He is a
Master-Level teacher in the Kripalu Yoga tradition. Through many years of
intensive study and practice of Swami Kripalu’s work, Yoganand has gained a
profound ability to distill and interpret esoteric yoga texts and techniques.
After studying with Kripalu Yoga masters in India and
America, Yoganand taught at the Kripalu Center for more than 15 years before
founding Pranakriya Yoga, which he developed from the original teachings of
Swami Kripalavandaji and reconfigured to meet the needs of Western yogis in
today’s world without taking away from the ancient teachings.
Yoganand serves as the Founder, Dean of Curriculum, and
Professor Emeritus for the Pranakriya School of Yoga Healing Arts. He has led
trainings and retreats around the country and world, and works to keep the
history of Tantric Hatha Yoga alive. Students find that Yoganand teaches from a
place of deep experience and learning and that he shares his understanding in
ways that allow them to cultivate and experience greater vitality in their own
lives. E-RYT 500, C-IAYT, YACEP
