You, but Better Workshop Part 1: Self-Examination, Goal Setting, and Mindset

When was the last time you felt amazing? There's been a time in all of our lives where we've been really healthy. We've all had that success before, so we know it's possible. Maybe you’ve been putting aside getting back to that feeling because you’re so darn busy.

As you stop taking care of yourself to take care of everything else in life, you make it a little bit more difficult to get back to what you deserve—feeling great. You deserve that energy. You deserve to be feeling awesome.

How do we get back to feeling great? By taking small steps toward a healthier lifestyle. It doesn’t have to be hard!

This is a 3-part virtual workshop to help busy, high-achieving women gain control of their health and use it as a tool for greatness.

In this first part of the workshop series, we’ll step-through 3 important pillars of a healthy lifestyle:

Self-Examination. In this pillar, we’ll get to the real star of this story—you. Essentially, we’ll go spelunking into your beliefs, attitudes, and behaviors and what they all mean for your goals. When we come out the other end, we’ll have a better idea of what you want to achieve in your plan and, most importantly, why.

Goal Setting: This is a key pillar that will be the difference between what hasn’t stuck in the past and getting to the new you. It involves the majority of the pre-work needed for you to have a healthier future lifestyle that you won’t have to think about. After completing this pillar, you’ll have the all-important awareness needed to recognize exactly what you want to change and what you need to do so. We’ll transform the areas you think need attention into Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, and Time-bound (SMART) goals. Included in this pillar are the nitty-gritty details on tracking your progress and measuring your goals over time so you can see your changes in real-time.

Mindset: This pillar fortifies you to take on the serious goals and plans you came up with in your goal setting. If it were easy to do all of this, you probably would have done it before. In this pillar, we’re going to get your mind in the right place by focusing on useful outlooks that meld your high-achieving superpowers with tools for keeping perfectionism and negativity in check.

In the second part of the workshop series, we’ll step-through 2 more important pillars of a healthy lifestyle:

Movement: You’ll choose a manageable activity routine that gets you moving more while fitting into your unique lifestyle, no matter your preferences, needs, or barriers. We’ll get you set up with exercises that can be done with whatever equipment, time, resources, or limitations you may have. Exercise can be anything you want it to be, as long as you’re moving.

Nutrition: This pillar covers basic nutrition for real people and guidelines to follow whether you’re a sedentary desk worker or an elite athlete. We’ll also get into mindful eating and how to prevent emotional eating triggers from derailing your progress.

As you stop taking care of yourself to take care of everything else in life, you make it a little bit more difficult to get back to what you deserve—feeling great. You deserve that energy. You deserve to be feeling awesome.

This is a 3-part virtual workshop to help busy, high-achieving women gain control of their health and use it as a tool for greatness.

In this final part of the workshop series, we’ll step-through two important pillars of a healthy lifestyle:

Stress Management: This pillar is all about understanding what causes stress and how to use that knowledge to help you manage it. We’ll also talk about some techniques you can use to stop stressful, destructive thought patterns from making your life harder. We’ll close out this pillar with ideas for self-care, relaxation, and finding people who can love on you and make everything easier.

Energy Management: This pillar is a close relative of stress management. We’ll talk about your energy cycle and limitations. Because your energy is finite, we’ll also discuss not forcing yourself to “do it all,” no matter how much of the world is on your shoulders. We’ll discuss quality sleep as a key way to replenish energy as well as some tricks to keep your energy up throughout the day.
