as faculty at University of Maryland, College Park, Kinetics Dance Theatre, City Dance Center
at Strathmore, and Georgetown University through their Summer Discovery Program. In
addition to teaching, Marissa has had the opportunity to work as an arts administrator for the
Maryland Youth Ballet and National Dance Education Organization.
She earned a BFA degree in dance performance and choreography from the Ohio University,
Athens in 2001 and received a MFA degree in dance with an emphasis in choreography from
the University of Maryland, College Park in 2008. Marissa Guerrero Elliott earned her 200hr
