Take a seat, stretch, and settle in for an evening of gentle movement and meaningful conversation. Our Book Club & Chair Yoga series invites you to explore the timeless wisdom of yoga’s ethical foundations, the Yamas and Niyamas, through Deborah Adele’s book, The Yamas & The Niyamas: Exploring Yoga’s Ethical Practice.

Each month, we’ll begin with a soothing chair yoga session to relax the body and open the mind, followed by a guided group discussion centered on that month’s theme. No prior reading or yoga experience is required. Come as you are and engage at your own pace.

Whether you join us for one evening or commit to the full year-long journey, you’ll leave feeling grounded, inspired, and connected both inwardly and within our yoga community.

Audrey Rhoads

Audrey started practicing yoga in 2001 while she was studying at the University of Florida. Yoga has transformed her life in so many ways. Over the years, it has helped her become healthier - physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Audrey enjoys sharing her love of yoga with students by exploring movement, breathwork, and chanting as ways to reduce stress and bring more ease into daily living. She completed her first 200-hour certification in 2012 through Sanctuary Yoga in Gainesville, Florida, with a focus on hatha, restorative, and yin yoga. In 2018, she earned a 100-hour certification in yoga nidra. In 2020, she moved to Maryland and completed her 200-hour certification with Pranakriya School of Yoga Healing Arts. "I love how Pranakriya integrates pranayama and meditation into the yoga class experience. It teaches you to be present so that you can enjoy your life more fully while mindfully navigating through life's challenges."
